Luau party decorations are colorful and fun touches to your Hawaiian luau party. If it is a summer party and you have access to a backyard pool, half of your decorating is done for you. If you are having one in the winter to drive the winter blues away, you need to use your imagination a bit as your party is most likely going to be inside.

Grass skirts, if you don't have them, can be purchased or made quite easily from cut up paper bags. Hawaiian shirts are also easy to find if you don't have one. To decorate, bring in some mini inflatable pools, especially fun for children, and make them into sand boxes. Add some pails and shovels, or a treasure box and seashells along with a couple of starfish. You can also make palm trees or rent them at party supply stores. luau party decorations are great when they sport a few beach umbrellas and some surf boards to stand in a corner. If you don't have the real thing, you can make them out of Styrofoam.

Flowers are always a plus because Hawaii is a paradise of flowers. Try and get the real thing as it adds to the green scent in the room. Oyster shells placed throughout the room give off the sent of salt water. A nice party atmosphere can be created by adding the sound of the surf, and hanging Oriental patio lanterns. Fruit baskets and fruit platters also help to decorate the room and they are wonderful to munch on. Don't forget to have some Hawaiian music and you are set for the evening. Luau parties are not hard to put together. All it needs is a little imagination and effort to set it all up.
